Meat Loaf Isn’t Antique

Creating a Destination

Best Morning Coffee Atmosphere:

STATIC     Jan 2006 issue ~ page 11

Formerly Cranes in Garden City, MN
It's an old hardware store, nicely and warmly renovated, that isn't open too long, so get in early, because you'll want to linger. You'll enjoy coffee under a high ceiling, with scattered toy and gas station nostalgia arranged tastefully above and around, and beautifully loaded bookshelves containing cross-sections of culture from potboiler paperbacks to the garden City High School yearbook collection. Hours are early - so don't dilly-dally. (J.T.)
